How to enable ExpressCache in ASUS S400C in Windows 10

Steps

  1. Create a partition in Sandisk 24G SSD named “INTELRST” with FAT32 format. The size is same as the memory size installed. (In Windows 10, there is no need to install Intel RST separately. I found it will use up unallocated space in SSD if we don’t create one manually.)
  2. Leave the rest of the SSD unallocated
  3. Install ExpressCache 1.0.86 for ASUS (Download)
  4. Reboot and check the cache information

Check

After reboot, the partitions should like below. A HFS partition is created in SSD.

Execute command “eccmd -info” by Administrator role, it should show the cache status like below
